Depth Sounder Not Working At Speed

I have just purchased a Bowrider 54m and a Humminbird GPS Sounder 787c2 very clear but have a small or BIG problem I cannot get it to track depth at any speeds over about 15kmhr wich is a pain as you not even on the plane at that speed. My Hook 7 is not working.

Depth sounder not working at speed. It is possible to configure some depth sounders so that no speed information is displayed even though a speed gauge is functioning properly. My old raymarine in hull bath of oil depth gague was playing up and I bought a garmin nmea2000 at the boat show colour etc. Depth not working at speed.

The issues is above 15 or. My Faria depth guage original equipment has not been working correctly. There is another thread saying that where you mounted yours is better.

The transducer itself can be heard ticking faintly this is the transmit pulse. I have adjusted the transducer numerous time and I have reset the sonar as suggested. Consult your operators manual for the units sensitivity specs and check that your settings are correct.

Russ my humminbird transducer is approx. My sonar is not reading at speed over 10 mph. If the unit is set with low sensitivity it will not detect bottom.

Strangely enough when Im sailing the reading bounces from not working at all to giving me readings of 25 to 30 feet when Im in over 100 feet of water. When I am running the engine the sounder reads accurately sometimes and reads nothing at all at other times.
